Fall Transition Pieces

Fall Transition Pieces

North Carolina summers seem to come out of nowhere and the warm temperatures tend to stay around long into the later months of the year. Planning outfits can be tricky when it looks like a cool fall day but it feels like mid-July. It’s important to stock your wardrobe with garments that transition well into cooler months. I found two pieces from Lil’ Elite Boutique in downtown Goldsboro that will take you from summer to fall with just a few changes of accessories.

This red top by “Multiples” (seen above) incorporates several of the top trends: lace, bell sleeves, and a knotted hem. The stunning color will be perfect for any season. It can easily be paired with jeans and simple shoes. This top would also look great tucked into a pencil skirt with a fun pair of pumps. The possibilities are endless.

Navy is such a good summer-to-fall transition color because it pairs nicely with browns and whites. The lightweight material of this navy and white Escapada Cannes dress (right) is sure to be a winner in any weather. This dress is flattering for any woman. The simplicity of the dress makes creating outfits a breeze. Wearing it by itself is a fabulous outfit in itself! Pairing the dress with a quilted puffer vest and tall boots would add a little warmth for the cooler days.

Whether the changing season means going back to school or searching for the perfect fall work-wear, the fashion scene in Goldsboro has your wardrobe covered. Seasons and styles change, but remember “fashion is what you buy and style is what you do with it!”
